In the early days of the war a group this sloppy had to be scavengers. The Reds were better than this. But as things continued to drag on the Reds stopped sending real soldiers to Bahamut. These days it was almost all cannon fodder.
Not that Makita cared one way or the other. Scavengers or Reds, either way they needed to die before they could do any more harm than they had already.
