As they take off though, it quickly becomes apparent to both of them that Goldy's 'run' is going to be a fast hobble at best. In the grand scheme of things, this is pretty unhelpful, and leaves them as sitting ducks while they attempt to gain the cover of a side alley.

Goldy starts to fumble in one of her pockets.
Even as she does so, high caliber machine gun fire rips across the ground towards them, flinging snow and concrete chips into the air.
